Information Pursuant to the German Battery Act (BattG)

The products distributed by us may contain batteries or accumulators. This notice applies to all products that come with or contain batteries or accumulators (hereinafter referred to as "batteries"), as well as to the sale of batteries as standalone products. It is addressed to consumers within the meaning of § 13 of the German Civil Code (BGB) as well as all other end-users.

In accordance with the German Act on the Sale, Return and Environmentally Sound Disposal of Batteries and Accumulators (Battery Act – BattG), we as a distributor are obliged to inform you about the following points:

Return Obligations

Batteries and accumulators must not be disposed of with household waste. You are legally required to return used batteries. You can return used batteries free of charge to:

• us as the point of sale (at our shipping warehouse in Feldkirchen-Westerham or via return shipment)
• retail outlets everywhere where batteries of the respective type are sold
• communal collection points and public collection boxes (e.g., in supermarkets, drugstores, electronics retailers, recycling centres)

Battery Types and Labelling

The symbol of a crossed-out wheeled bin displayed on batteries or their packaging means that the battery must not be disposed of in household waste.

Additionally, if certain statutory limits are exceeded, the chemical symbols of the respective hazardous substances are listed below the wheeled bin symbol:

• Cd: Battery contains more than 0.002 percentage by mass of cadmium
• Pb: Battery contains more than 0.004 percentage by mass of lead
• Hg: Battery contains more than 0.0005 percentage by mass of mercury

Environmental Information and Hazards

Batteries contain valuable raw materials as well as hazardous substances that can harm the environment and human health if improperly disposed of. Furthermore, batteries (especially lithium batteries and button cells) pose a significant fire hazard in household waste, as they can catch fire or explode when subjected to mechanical damage or pressure—such as in waste collection vehicles or sorting facilities. By collecting and recycling them separately, you make an active contribution to environmental protection and the preservation of natural resources.

Instructions for Proper Use

Please observe the following instructions when using batteries and accumulators:

• Do not short-circuit, open, heat, or incinerate batteries
• Only charge rechargeable batteries with the designated charger
• Remove depleted batteries from devices immediately (risk of leakage)
• Keep batteries and accumulators out of the reach of children
• Do not touch damaged or leaking batteries – use protective gloves
